Natchez Trace

There is a 440 mile stretch of highway that runs through four US states called the Natchez Trace. Speed limits are 50 mph and there is no commercial traffic. I took this this route from Natchez, LA to Nashville, TN in late March on my way home from Texas. I've put a link to my Picasa album with more photos if you're interested. If you're not in a hurry this is a great way to cruise home without the normal highway hassle. The camping is free along the route.

You can find more information on the Trace here.

On the way along the Trace I took a detour to Vicksburg, VA and visited the Civil War battle site. I also stayed at the Vicksburg, Ameristar Casino RV park (rated a definite ten) and went for dinner at the casino while waiting for a tornado to pass.

Here a few pictures I took at the battlefield.
